Akash Mirchandani is a Partner at Kitchen Fund, a leading investor in the restaurant space. Kitchen Fund aims to fuel the brands that are changing how we eat, including investments in segment-defining brands, such as sweetgreen, CAVA, DIG, and Gregorys Coffee. Akash serves on the Boards of Directors for DIG and Miscusi. Prior to Kitchen Fund, Akash was an investor at Blackstone in their Private Equity Group, where he evaluated prospective deals and managed portfolio companies across multiple industries. During his tenure at Blackstone, he was involved in the execution of the $20Bn investment in Refinitiv. Akash serves on the Business Leadership Council for Menus of Change, a non-profit collaboration between the Culinary Institute of America and the Harvard School of Public Health. Akash holds an A.B. in Economics from Harvard, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa and was captain of the golf team. He deepened his passion for the food industry through a stage working in the kitchen at Alinea, the three Michelin star restaurant in Chicago.
