Jeffrey “Jeff” Brock is the founder and managing partner of Hargett Hunter Capital Management (“Hargett Hunter”), a private equity firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina that invests in multi-unit restaurant companies seeking capital and capability to support future growth. Hargett Hunter invests exclusively in restaurant chains, where initial investments range between $5 million and $20 million. The firm further differentiates by bringing domain expertise and operational resources bolstered by the Hargett Operating Services Team (‘HOST’), comprised of group of industry veterans with operating talent across various functions that drive value inside of Hargett Hunter’s portfolio companies. Before launching Hargett Hunter in 2015, Mr. Brock led the business development efforts for Morehead Capital, a private investment company whose restaurant holdings included Chop’t Creative Salad out of New York and Hash House A Go Go, headquartered in Las Vegas. Mr. Brock has played a role in executing more than $2 billion of debt financing across franchised restaurant and beverage companies and multinational platforms at JPMorgan Securities, First Union Corp., Bank of America, and GE Capital Franchise Finance, where he was a Director in the Brand Management group and responsible for coverage of corporate relationships of franchised systems that represented more than $3 billion of total credit exposure. Mr. Brock currently serves on North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management’s board of advisors and on the Private Assets Committee of North Carolina State University’s $1.2 billion Investment Fund. Mr. Brock earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and a BA from NC State University’s College of Management.
