Nicole Portwood joined the best-in-class team at Salad and Go as Chief Marketing Officer in 2023 after serving on its Board of Directors. Before Salad and Go, Nicole was a driving force behind the launch of Jennifer Lopez’s bottled cocktail brand as the General Manager at House of Delola. Her leadership roles also include serving as the Chief Brand Officer at Live Nation Entertainment and Vice President of Marketing for PepsiCo’s Mountain Dew where her strategic initiatives led to a remarkable turnaround that resulted in five consecutive quarters of industry-surpassing growth.
Nicole also served as the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Tito’s Handmade Vodka for nine years, for which she was recognized as AdAge’s Marketer of the Year for 2017. She was at the helm during the brand’s astronomical growth, demonstrating her exceptional ability to build and scale a brand towards success.
Nicole’s belief in the power of purpose-driven brands led her to Salad and Go and the opportunity to disrupt a category in need of innovation. Salad and Go is a rapidly growing, one-of-a-kind restaurant concept on a mission to address the conflict between affordability, accessibility, and wellness. Offering custom salads (with protein) starting at less than $7, Salad and Go is shaking up the fast-food industry – and opening nearly one new store a week, proving doing good for people can still be good for business. As a result of her work with Salad and Go and career as an experienced brand builder, Nicole was recently honored by Reuters on the list of 2024 Trailblazing Women.
