Sophia Goldberg is the co-founder and CEO of Ansa, the leading digital infrastructure platform for embedded customer balances. Named one of The Information’s 50 Most Promising Startups 2023, Ansa’s stored value wallet solution helps increase customer retention and drive new revenue opportunities for merchants. A self-proclaimed ‘payments nerd’, Sophia is the author of the best-selling The Field Guide to Global Payments, a comprehensive guide exploring the intricate ways money moves around the world. She has been named as one of American Banker's "Innovators of the Year 2024" in digital banking and one of NYC Fintech Women’s Inspiring Fintech Females of 2023. Prior to Ansa, Sophia spent many years at Adyen, where she managed key global accounts, and worked across commercial and product roles in addition to serving on the board of PaymentEd.

Fascinated by the physical mechanisms of the global economy, Sophia earned her Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University and her Master’s Degree in International Political Economy from The London School of Economics and Political Science. Currently, Sophia resides in San Francisco, California with her French bulldog, Earl.
