Profile
Andreas Nordseth is an international maritime leader and advisor with more than 30 years of experience spanning maritime governance, safety, seafarer education and training, and workforce development. He served as Director General of the Danish Maritime Authority from 2009 to 2024. He chaired the Administrative Board of the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) from 2017 to 2023. Andreas has worked extensively with maritime regulation, skills policy, capacity building and international cooperation, supporting governments and industry in addressing the challenges facing the maritime sector. He is currently Senior Advisor and Team Leader of the EU–ASEAN SCOPE Seafarers Project in the Philippines, where he supports maritime reform and the development of future-ready maritime education and training systems.
