Capt Faouzi Fradi spent seven years sailing as Master onboard Oil/Chemical Tankers and Gas Carriers before starting his shore based career as Port Pilot. He joined Columbia Shipmanagement in 2012 as QSHE-Marine Superintendent. Since 2015 he has been assigned several managerial roles in the crewing department, and in 2021 he was appointed as Group Director Crewing and Training.

Capt Fradi is an elected member of the Intertanko HEiSC and since 2016 he has been a member of the IMEC R&T Committee, initiating several innovative projects with the latest being the Competency Management System for Ratings. He has been leading several innovative training and recruitment developments, many of which have been dedicated to Filipino seafarers. These have included an in-house Chemical Tanker course, usage of cloud simulators, Learning Management System (LMS), mental Health and telemedicine support for seafarers, and the holographic telepresence technology receiving attention from global media companies, including Bloomberg.
