Capt. Pol Haboc brings three decades of diverse experience in various fields of the maritime industry, ranging from sea-based (shipboard) experience to shore-based strategic leadership roles in education & training, quality & safety management systems, chartering & commercial operations, crew management, and ship management. Throughout his career, Capt. Haboc has been entrusted with various strategic initiatives and management roles. His visionary approach and commitment to excellence have led to significant operational enhancements across multiple business units under his leadership. Among his previous leadership roles were Assistant Vice President for Crewing Operations at PTC and Head of Ship Management at PTC Shipmanagement. Currently, Capt. Haboc serves as the Vice President / General Manager of PHILCAMSAT, the education & training, and competence development & management arm of The PTC Group. PHILCAMSAT is an institution committed to nurturing and transforming seafarers into global maritime professionals, while setting new industry standards for excellence. Capt. Haboc’s passion for the maritime sector, coupled with his unwavering dedication to lifelong learning, has been instrumental in shaping his successful career. He is a proud graduate of the Philippine Merchant Marine Academy (PMMA), holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Transportation. Capt. Pol’s seafaring experience has been further enriched by his corporate maritime career. His deep understanding of the unique demands of the industry fuels his passion to actively engage in various collaborative partnerships and meaningful initiatives, reflecting his genuine dedication to making a positive impact in the industry
