Erik MohnDirector Crewing at Stödig Ship ManagementSpeaker
Profile
With an extensive career in maritime management, complemented by nearly two decades in the Royal Norwegian Navy, Erik brings a wealth of expertise to Stödig Ship Management AS, where he currently serves as Director of Crewing. A steady hand in turbulent waters, he and his team steers the complex demands of international crewing . Erik is one of the main drivers behind the digital development with Stödig. Across departments Stödig has invested heavily in process improvement in all departments.
After 19 years in the Navy, specializing as a Marine in roles that took him both ashore and aboard naval vessels, Erik transitioned to the private sector. At Seatrans Ship Management AS, he climbed the ranks from Crew Manager to Head of Crewing and HR, crafting a crewing framework that supports seamless global operations. Now, at Stödig, he helps ensure that vessels are staffed by top-tier talent, meeting the needs of the modern maritime industry.
Outside of work, he’s a devoted family man, sharing his love for the sea with his wife and their three sons, aged 11, 19, and 22. Summers often find them aboard their cherished leisure boat, a perfect escape and homage to his naval roots. A sports aficionado with a preference for spectator status, he enjoys NFL and Norwegian soccer—though perhaps more as a strategist on the sidelines than as an athlete himself.
