My name is John Mark L. Tiquia, and I graduated with a Bachelor of Technology major in Electrical Engineering Technology from the Technological University of the Philippines. I’m 27 years old, a registered Master Electrician, and a proud breadwinner from Pandacan, Manila.
Before joining the maritime industry, I gained diverse land-based experience — from being an Elevator Installer, Maintenance and Repair Engineer, Safety Officer, Customer Service Representative, and a Laboratory Assistant.
Recently, I was given the opportunity to be part of the Electro-Technical Officer Sponsorship Program by Maersk, and I completed my in-house training at the United Marine Training Center.
