Prof. Dr. Max Johns is Professor at the Maritime & Logistics Department of Hamburg School of Business Administration. His research focusses on sustainable shipping as well as on the economic implications of ship finance in various markets and the influence of the financial crisis on the maritime industry. Beside his teaching and research activity at HSBA, Professor Dr. Max Johns is a policy maker in the international shipping committee VDR (Verband Deutscher Reeder).
