I am an Electro-Technical Officer/ System Engineer Officer in the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA), I am proud to serve on board RFA Argus, a vessel known for its critical support role in humanitarian, medical, and military operations. My duties involve maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of complex electrical and electronic systems. From power distribution and navigation equipment to essential communication and control technologies. Each day presents new challenges and opportunities to grow, particularly aboard Argus, where the work environment is dynamic, and teamwork is central to success. Coming from a cultural background of Jamaican and Guyanese heritage, I take pride in representing diversity in the maritime sector. I am also a member of the LGBTQ+ community and am committed to visibility and inclusion both at sea and ashore. I believe that being true to who you are only strengthens your ability to lead, serve, and inspire others.

Serving in the RFA combines my passion for the sea, technical excellence, and a drive to contribute to global operations that make a real difference. It’s not just a career, it’s a chance to challenge myself, honour my heritage, and pave the way for others like me.
