Dr Louis Conradie graduated in 1997 as a Medical Doctor from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. He rotated through major specialties for government hospitals in South Africa and in Queensland, Australia.

He spent four years as partner in General Practice as a Family Physician and 10 years as an Associate Emergency Physician in South Africa. Beyond his medical work on land, he has also served as a Senior Ships Physician for organisations such as Princess Cruises, Holland America line, P&O Australia and Virgin Voyages.

Moving back to the African continent, Dr Conradie joined International SOS and spent two years as a Technical Advisor Physician for a remote site in Ghana. He spent one year as Chief Medical Officer for International SOS on site in Cambodia.

Dr Conradie is currently a Technical Advisor, Medical Services for the Philippines. He works closely with the Medical Services and the Manila Assistance Centre, helping clients protect their workforce (including seafarers) and build resilience.
