After completing his B.Eng (Electrical) from VJTI Mumbai, Melwin followed his passion of equity investing. Throughout his 26 year career, he has been a equity analyst and interviewed more than 250 CEOs and Founders annually. He analyses businesses with an ownership mindset, particularly focusing on companies ignored by other institutional investors. He believes business is all about people and only invests in companies that is led by people he trusts and admires.

After working in wealth management, private equity, family office and hedge fund he founded Sterling Investment Management in 2017. Sterling is a London based FCA regulated firm which acquired Sterling Select Companies Fund.
