Delivering Strategic Initiatives is a transformation accelerator for senior leaders that closes the value gap, the space between the strategy you write down and the results you deliver. 90% of strategies fail to execute; this programme fixes that with practical, GCC-localised frameworks.
- Close the Value Gap: Expose orphaned objectives and rogue initiatives that burn budget.
- Strategic Contribution Score: Fund what matters, not what's loudest.
- Kill Switch Protocol: Know when to kill, pivot, or pause a failing initiative.
- Self-Funding Model: Let winning initiatives fund the next.
- 90-Day Execution Rhythm: Keep initiatives alive with a live dashboard and re-linking ritual.
- AI as an accelerant: Reusable prompts to score, monitor, and communicate faster.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Delivering Strategic Initiatives?
It's a four-day programme that teaches senior leaders how to deliver the specific strategic initiatives that close the value gap, the difference between what an organisation plans and what it actually achieves. It's practical, not theoretical: participants apply the frameworks to a real initiative from their own organisation during the course.
How is this different from a Balanced Scorecard or Strategy Execution course?
Balanced Scorecard and Strategy Execution Professional (SEP) programmes focus on the what of execution: running the whole organisation in alignment with strategy. Delivering Strategic Initiatives focuses on the how: prioritising, resourcing, governing, and, when necessary, killing individual initiatives.
Think of SEP as running the airline and DSI as building the new terminal. They complement each other; DSI also works as a standalone programme.
Which frameworks and tools will I learn?
You'll work with the Strategic Contribution Score, Contribution Margin, Kill Switch Protocol, Self-Funding Model, Causality Map, Weekly Vital Signs Dashboard, and the 90-Day Re-Linking Ritual, a complete toolkit for prioritising and delivering initiatives.
Will I receive editable templates and a plan for my own organisation?
Yes. You leave with fully editable templates (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) for every framework, plus a tailored implementation roadmap for your own organisation a ready-to-execute plan, not a binder of slides.
How is AI used in the course?
AI is used as a practical accelerant, not the subject. You receive a library of reusable AI prompts for tasks like portfolio analysis, scoring, dashboard creation, and stakeholder communication. No specific software purchase or installation is required.
Are the case studies GCC-specific?
The programme uses a live case-study approach: you bring a real strategic initiative challenge from your own organisation and apply the frameworks to it during the course. Because participants come from GCC sectors like utilities, energy, government, healthcare, and banking, the examples are always relevant and current.
Is it suitable for project and programme managers?
Yes. Every initiative is, in effect, a project with a sponsor, owner, scope, budget, and timeline. Programme and portfolio managers gain tools to prioritise across a portfolio and govern delivery, without needing a prior PMP background.
What are the certification requirements?
To earn the Informa Connect Academy Certificate of Completion, you must attend all sessions (missing no more than two hours) and pass the end-of-course assessment with 70% or above. Otherwise, you receive a Certificate of Attendance stating the hours attended.
