Sebastian had his first contact with the maritime world during his legal education in Spain, being closely linked to the Commercial and Transport Law department of the University of Seville. To gain experience, he made an internship with a law firm in his hometown, during which he kept in touch with port authorities and many transport companies. His passion about maritime law led him, after few years of training and experience to achieve greater goals, and therefore, in 2012 performed an LLM in International Maritime Law in the prestigious Swansea University, getting deep in the roots of the maritime law through a successful year both of learning and practice. Later on he obtained a PhD. in Maritime Law,which gave him a greater understanding about deep and complex issues related to the carriage of goods by sea and charter parties.

Currently, due to his expertise and deep knowledge of the maritime law in continental and common law systems, Sebastian has become member of the Territorial Committee of the Spanish Association of Maritime Law, and also he is the visible head of the Department of Transport and Maritime Law in a law firm, working professionally with leading authorities in Spain, Port Authorities and Shipping Companies. Not only he made efforts to become a great maritime lawyer, but also he is involved in academic projects, both in England and Spain.
