Budha leads the faculty for the Certificate in Container Terminal Operations & Management and is a highly experienced ports, shipping and logistics professional who has worked in port and terminal management since 1976. Most recently, he has been involved in the training and education of future port professionals as a Ports and Terminal Consultant and Director of Port Centric Logistics Partners Ltd. During his career he has worked in cargo operations, marine and corporate planning departments as well as central executive for port companies – building experience and knowledge of the global ports industry and the needs of the customers they serve.

Budha was Managing Director of Mersey Docks and Harbour Company and was responsible for merging the activities of the Port of Liverpool with that of the Manchester Ship Canal, and has also worked for Associated British Ports (ABP), including being the Port Director of their South Wales Ports, Regional Manager of the North-West Ports, Port Director of Short Sea Ports and a member of the ABP Board of Directors. His considerable experience includes a number of major developments such as setting up the P&O ferry terminal in Troon, the building of a silo complex in King’s Lynn which at the time was the most modern and versatile grain facility of its kind, running the UK’s largest grain terminal, briefly managing a shipping line and was involved in establishing the largest and most successful Freeport in the UK. He has worked on many international consultancy projects, including advising on port planning and marketing for the Port of Mundra in Gujarat India and on the development of new port facilities in North America and in the Middle East.
