Dr. Faris Alshuraim is an American Board-Certified Orthodontist and Assistant Professor at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. In addition to his clinical background, he holds a Master’s degree in Education and a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Teaching and Curriculum from the University of Rochester, New York, USA. His academic and leadership experience spans curriculum development, assessment, accreditation, postgraduate education, and program evaluation. He has contributed to the development and oversight of undergraduate, postgraduate, and fellowship programs, with a particular focus on competency-based education and aligning curricula with international accreditation standards and Saudi regulatory requirements. His academic interests include curriculum design, educational quality, assessment, and the advancement of health professions education in Saudi Arabia.
