Profile
Sara is a Co-Founder of Emkan Education and Managing Partner. She led multiple national and organizational development projects including the development of the professional Saudi teacher standards, the development of the integration of arts and culture into mainstream education strategy, national curriculum standards design, and multiple school screening & development projects. Sara is also a fellow at the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), a member of UNESCO’s Arab States Arts & Culture initiative, and the Training and Education commission, Jeddah Chamber. She worked as a lecturer at King Abdulaziz University in the department of Curriculum and Teaching and as a special education teacher for children with hearing impairments. Sara holds an M.A. in International Educational Development from Columbia University, USA and a B.A. in Special Education from Dar Al-Hekma University in Saudi Arabia. She also holds an executive education degree (2030 leaders) from Misk Foundation.
