Artemiza Woodgate, PhD, is a Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Integrated Quantitative Investments LLC, a $1.2 billion quant equity asset management firm founded in 2020. In her role, Artemiza leads the research and development of the investment models and oversees portfolio construction and risk management. Her expertise lies in bridging rigorous quantitative research with real-world portfolio implementation, ensuring that systematic insights translate into consistent, risk-aware investment outcomes. Artemiza has over 20 years of experience in designing and executing advanced quantitative strategies in global equities. Before co-founding IQI, she held research roles at Man Numeric (2015–2020) and Russell Investments (2004–2015). Prior to her industry career, Artemiza taught finance, economics, and statistics at the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington and at the University of Auckland. Her academic research focused on asset pricing, portfolio optimization, and interest rate targeting, with publications in the Journal of Finance, Journal of Portfolio Management, Management Science, and Pensions & Investments. Artemiza holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Washington, and an MSc and BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Outside of her professional work, Artemiza serves on the Board of Directors of CFA Society Seattle leading the organization’s AI initiatives.
