Profile

Evan Katz is Managing Director of Benoni Capital, Inc., a leading Manhattan-based alternative asset investment firm that forms, grows, holds interests in, and raises very substantial investor capital for, compelling hedge funds, private equity funds, and other alternative investment funds. And in three recent annual Hedgeweek awards (2021, 2022, 2023), Evan was voted and nominated by the hedge fund industry as its best fundraiser. An honors graduate of The Wharton School of Business (summa cum laude) and Harvard Law School, Evan has worked on Wall Street since 2003, and is highly regarded as an expert on alternative asset best practices, institutional investors, family offices, and successful largescale fundraising. In this regard, he has raised very substantial investor capital and commitments for compelling hedge funds, private equity funds, and early-stage technology and medical life sciences companies. Evan’s vast and longstanding professional relationships in the global investor community include high-level relationships with ~1,000 institutional and family office investors worldwide (including their consultants and OCIO’s), which collectively have trillions of dollars of assets, and allocate hundreds of billions of dollars to hedge, private equity and other alternative investment funds (typically $25-$250+ million per investor, per fund). His investor relationships include many prominent, large and worldrenowned endowments, foundations, funds of funds, insurance companies, multifamily offices, pensions (public and private), single-family offices, and sovereign wealth funds, and also many medium and smaller investors as well, including hundreds that specifically focus on, or otherwise allocate very substantially to, so-called emerging managers.
