Gabriel Espana is Managing Director & CEO of Iskali Capital Group, an investment banking platform focused on mobilizing capital for investment opportunities across emerging markets. He has over three decades of experience in investment banking, project finance, development finance, and institutional capital raising, having worked on projects in more than 50 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Before joining Iskali Capital Group, Gabriel spent more than 20 years at the International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, where he held several leadership roles and helped develop and manage a USD 3.7 billion portfolio of transactions in emerging markets. Earlier in his career, he held senior investment banking roles at Rothschild and Citibank.

Gabriel is also President of the Americas of the International Association of Financial Executives Institutes. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from UNAM and an MBA from IPADE Business School.
