Jay has over 18 years of experience in public accounting focusing on the Alternative Investments fund space. Prior to coming over to Grant Thornton, Jay was in Deloitte’s Asset Management tax practice. Jay specializes in taxation of hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds and works with clients in various strategies ranging from long-short equity, credit focused structures, CLOs, commercial lending, multi-strategy platforms to hybrid fund of funds. Jay works closely with clients regarding tax planning and compliance, including fund formation, annual tax reporting and guidance on maneuvering among local, state, U.S. federal and international tax rules.
