Hi there — I am a venture investor and tech operator with a record of turning ideas, strategies, and investments into actual results all over the world. My partners and I founded Front Porch to invest in venture funds and startups in the next generation of breakout startup ecosystems with a focus on the Southeast. I spend a lot of time on the tech side of our portfolio with funds, founders and founding teams.

I get energy from seeing ideas all the way through to impact and believe that the right sequence of little things can add up to much bigger things. My “true colors” are originally blue (connection) and gold (structure). I tend to be calm when things are crazy, but crazy when things are calm. I am often 5 minutes late to meetings because I can get engrossed in things (not because I am trying to be rude).

At home, I have two funny not-so-little kids and a fantastic partner-in-crime (Jackie). I use my spare time on kids sports (softball with Lucy, basketball with Alex), adventures with my family (RVs and national parks), writing (with posts periodically on Substack), foolishly dense history books (2-3 books on certain people or topics at a time), cooking (pasta Sundays), piano (with sheet music, not by ear sadly), and fantasy baseball (not very good, but better than scrolling Twitter).
