Luis Valdich is the managing partner of VIM Investors, an investing firm he founded in mid-2025 focused on investing in high-performing underhyped late-stage growth/pre-IPO unicorns at attractive entry points. VIM invests in both primaries and secondaries across fintech and enterprise AI, broadly defined, the sectors where he has been investing over his 20-year venture career. Since then, VIM has completed four SPVs.

Prior to VIM, Luis was a Managing Director of both Citi Ventures and JPMorgan Strategic Investments and started his venture investing career at Softbank. He has invested in nearly 100 startups including 8 that went public (Square/Block, Palantir, Tradeweb, Markit, AirLease Corp, BATS, Zenvia, Solid), 20 M&A exits, 7 on path to IPO, and 15 other unicorns. He has also invested in 25 venture capital funds, mostly in his personal account.

Luis, who is originally from Bolivia, is a McKinsey alumnus and Harvard Business School MBA, and loves sports, the arts, international travel, and champagne.
