Mark is a Senior Advisor in Capital Raising at Arootah, where he assists investment managers in growing all facets of their businesses. Mark brings over fifteen years of experience as a capital raiser and allocator in alternative investments to the role. His previous roles include working as a capital raiser and relationship manager at Emso Asset Management, a hedge fund and private credit manager specializing in emerging markets. Earlier in his career, he held positions as Senior Portfolio Manager and Director at Merrill Lynch Alternative Investments, focusing on hedge funds, Acquisitions Manager at New Castle Media, a private equity-backed holding company, and Investment Analyst at Man Group.

Mark served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer for more than two years in Tanzania, teaching math and physics at an all-girls secondary school. In addition to his professional pursuits, Mark is an avid skier, runner, and world traveler, having visited more than 70 countries.

He holds an MBA and a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and History from Georgetown University.
