Neil Gillis, a seasoned music industry veteran with a 40-year career, recently served as founding partner and president of Round Hill Music, a full-service music publisher and creative rights management company, from 2011 to 2022. At Round Hill, Neil curated song and master catalogs featuring works by renowned artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, and Katy Perry. He successfully managed multiple private equity style funds and one listed UK equity, investing over $1 billion in music rights on behalf of sophisticated institutional investors.

Prior to Round Hill Music, Neil held leadership positions at S1 Songs America, Dimensional Music Publishing, and Concord Music Group. He spent 16 years at Warner/Chappell Music as senior vice president of creative music solutions and vice president of copyright/licensing. Neil began his corporate career as an intern at Cherry Lane Music in the early 1980s and has also worked for Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) as head of international assets.

Neil's professional expertise extends beyond the industry. He has been a successful teacher at UCLA Extension, an adjunct professor at Nassau Community College, and a lecturer at various prestigious institutions. Neil has also contributed to industry books and composed music for television shows and cartoons.

Neil holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry from Hofstra University (1984) and has been involved with several industry organizations, including the National Music Publishing Association, BMI Foundation, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
