Krishan Hirani is Head of Secured Funding at Nationwide Building Society. Krishan has 10yrs of experience in Treasury, predominantly in wholesale funding and capital markets. He is responsiblr for the planning, structuring and execution of Nationwide’s covered bond, securitisations and central bank funding activity.

In addition to this, the day-to-day management of mortgage collateral, governance and reporting from these wholesale funding vehicles. More recently, Krishan has been heavily involved in LIBOR transition matters, chairing Nationwide’s internal transition working group and representing the Society on the Bond Market Sub-Group of the Working Group on Sterling Risk-Free Reference Rates in the UK.

Previous to joining Nationwide, Krishan studied Mathematics at university and has a masters degree in Finance & Accounting.
