Raphael has come on board of the FTAHK, arguably Asia’s biggest FinTech Association (in terms of members) as General Manager effective January 2022. In his role, Raphael is effectively running the association with his Executive Team and working closely with the Board, Co-Chairs, industry partners, and members in continuing to drive our strategy under FTAHK 2.0. He joined us from Deutsche Bank, where he spent over 15 years working in corporate and transaction banking. At Deutsche Bank, he held various senior roles, including in corporate treasury advisory, market and client intelligence and the correspondent banking and clearing space. As part of Deutsche Bank’s senior leadership team, Raphael was responsible for developing tailored solutions for many of the bank’s largest clients in APAC as well as driving various digital transformation initiatives in the region, including working closely with FinTechs operating in the blockchain, payments, eCommerce, and fraud detection space.

Raphael holds a Bachelors and Masters Degree of European and Business Law from the University of Siegen in Germany.
