Agnieszka Ason is the founder of Ason Energy and acts as a strategic advisor, expert witness, mediator and arbitrator in LNG-related matters. Agnieszka is particularly sought after for her expertise in navigating the challenges of LNG supply contracts and managing complex LNG disputes. Prior to setting up her own practice, Agnieszka gained experience at top-tier law firms on a wide range of international energy transactions and arbitrations, including the most significant deals and disputes in the gas and LNG business. She has acted as legal counsel and expert in major gas and LNG price reviews, including the first LNG price review arbitrations in Asia. A recognised authority in the industry, Agnieszka works with both established players and new entrants to the LNG sector. Her work covers all legal and strategic aspects of LNG contract structuring and execution, as well as LNG dispute avoidance and resolution. Her assignments are notable for their novelty and increasingly include contractual issues related to GHG emissions transparency and mitigation. In parallel to her consultancy work, Agnieszka is a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies, a Senior Lecturer in Energy Law at the Technical University of Berlin and an Honorary Lecturer in International Dispute Resolution at Queen Mary University of London. Agnieszka has published extensively and is a frequent speaker, guest lecturer and industry trainer on international energy contracts and disputes.
