A seasoned technology executive with a proven record of leading transformative acquisitions and building the platforms behind category-defining consumer companies, Ryan most recently served as Senior Vice President of Smart Home Technology at NRG Energy following NRG’s acquisition of Vivint. In that role, he helped architect a first-of-its-kind bundled Smart Home and residential energy offering that unified two businesses and unlocked significant enterprise value. Previously, as SVP of Engineering at Vivint Smart Home, he guided the company through its IPO and built the technology behind every customer touchpoint—from mobile applications and intelligent routing to patented platform innovations serving millions of households. Earlier in his career, he held senior engineering leadership roles at Protection One/ADT and Pinnacle Security, establishing the operational discipline and customer-centric approach that continues to define his work.
