Ian joined Aberdeen in 2013 as deputy to the APAC CEO and became CEO APAC in 2024. He was previously the global CEO of Arisaig Partners and, prior to that, the APAC head of HSBC’s financial sponsors coverage team.

Ian is an alum of Harvard Business School, the International Institute for Management Development and INSEAD. He is also a Senior Accredited Director with the Singapore Institute of Directors, a Fellow of the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore and a Senior Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.

Ian currently serves as Vice President on the board of the British Chamber of Commerce Singapore and is a Male Champion for the Financial Women's Association Singapore. He is a former member of both the Executive Committee of ASIFMA's Asia Asset Management Group and the Management Committee of the Investment Management Association of Singapore.
