Profile

Shastri Singh possesses nearly 20 years of regulatory expertise, specialising in financial supervision, policy formulation, and assessment of anti-money laundering, prudential, and market conduct risks. Presently, she serves as a Chief Analyst at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority within the Virtual Asset Service Providers and Fintech Innovation Unit. Previously, she held positions at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago and a commercial bank in Trinidad.

Ms. Singh played an active role as a member of the regional project team accountable for the publication of the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force’s report titled 'Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Risks through the use of Virtual Assets and Virtual Asset Service Providers: Implications in the Caribbean Region.' Additionally, she participated as a panellist at the ACAMS Grand Cayman Symposium 2023, contributing insights to the discussion on 'Safer and Sounder: Practical Solutions for Managing Crypto Risks.

She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. She is also qualified as a Certified Expert in Digital Finance, a Certified Blockchain Expert, and a Cryptocurrency Auditor. In addition, she has obtained an ICA Specialist Certificate in Financial Crime Risk in Cryptocurrencies and has attained several other certifications in the virtual asset and crypto fields.
