Danini Marin is a national of Belize, a pharmaceutical chemist (Del Valle University, Guatemala- 2013) with a master’s degree in Health Economics and Pharmacoeconomics (Pompeu Fabra University, Spain - 2017), master’s degree in Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (Alcalá University, Spain – 2023) and a diploma in Regulation and Sanitary Risk (National Public Health Institution, Mexico - 2021). She has worked in the field of pharmaceutical regulation since 2014. Danini served as the Director of the Drug Inspectorate Unit in the Ministry of Health, Belize, spearheading projects to strengthen the national regulatory system. She also served as a member of the Central American Technical Commission on Medicines and Health Technologies to support the medicines roadmap for the region and has experience working in various regulatory initiatives in the Caribbean, including those of the Caribbean Regulatory System. Since 2021, she works as an independent consultant on regulatory affairs, focusing on regulatory system strengthening in low- and middle-income countries collaborating with international public health organizations such as WHO/PAHO and other regulatory affairs institutions. She has researched and authored on marketing authorization, pharmacovigilance, and antimicrobial consumption.
