Rob Gavin joined Dawson in 2016 and has over 14 years of private equity and investment banking experience. Since joining Dawson, Rob has been involved in the diligence, execution and structuring of some of Dawson’s largest and most complex transactions. In 2017, Rob was selected for the “Young Guns of Secondaries” list by Secondaries Investor. Prior to joining Dawson, Rob spent three years with Denham Capital Management, based in both Houston and São Paulo. At Denham, he focused on investments across South America, with a particular focus in Brazil, Chile and Peru. Rob’s responsibilities covered all areas of the investment process, including financial modeling, execution and monitoring of new and existing investments. Prior to joining Denham, Rob was in the investment banking group at BMO Capital Markets, executing on a wide range of mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings across a broad range of sectors. Rob holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University.
