Karen is a seasoned finance professional with over 24 years of experience in corporate finance. She recently assumed the leadership of the R&I and V&IT finance team at AstraZeneca, where her primary responsibilities include overseeing forecasting, planning, and reporting of sales and expenses across various therapeutic areas. In addition, she collaborates closely with cross-functional partners on contracting and investment decisions. Karen's previous role at AstraZeneca was Head of Finance, Market Access & Mature Brands, where she led a team focused on ensuring consistency and a robust control environment for gross to net across the US portfolio. Before joining AstraZeneca, Karen spent nine years in commercial finance at AstraZeneca, supporting brands across multiple therapeutic areas and leading cross-portfolio initiatives. Prior to her tenure at AstraZeneca, she held the position of Finance Senior Director for the North Division at the Sam’s Club division of Walmart, and also worked across various finance roles at Johnson & Johnson. Karen began her career in public accounting and is a certified public accountant (CPA). She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in accounting from the University of Pennsylvania. Karen is known for her passion for mentoring and creating a positive, engaging work environment for her team and the organization as a whole.
