- Regional Consideration: Special consideration for applicants from areas with fewer educational resources in maritime studies
- Industry Transition: Support for professionals seeking to enter the maritime field from other industries

- Early Career Focus: Priority consideration is given to finance professionals with less than 5 years of full-time industry experience
