Who Should Attend

This course is ideal for those who currently lead others or are expected to do so in the foreseeable future. Experienced managers will find this a great opportunity to expand on their current style of leadership and explore solutions to challenging situations, while upcoming managers or those with recent advancement to a management position will go through comprehensive training on skills and knowledge required to be an effective all round leader.

Certificates And Requirements

Delegates must meet two criteria to be eligible for an ILM Certificate for the course:

  1. Satisfactory attendance – delegates must attend all sessions of the course. Delegates who miss more than 2 hours of the course sessions will not be eligible to sit the course exam 
  2. Successful completion of the course assessment

Delegates who do not meet these criteria will receive an Informa Certificate of Attendance. If delegates have not attended all sessions, the Certificate will clearly state the number of hours attended. Certificates will be awarded in soft-copy.

Course Methodology

Using a practice-based approach, each participant is encouraged to identify real world challenges where they are not yet satisfied with their outcomes and leadership style. We use the techniques and methods introduced in the course to identify how they can approach these challenges differently and achieve better results. 

Attendees work in partnerships, coaching each other and offering feedback and sharing insights. We look at case studies from the business world to examine unique leadership performance and how outstanding leaders adapt, support others and employ the talents of their team members.
