Profile
Whitney Hill is a licensed general contractor and the co-founder and CEO of SnapADU, a design-build general contractor focused exclusively on detached new-construction accessory dwelling units in Greater San Diego.
Under Whitney’s leadership, SnapADU has grown into one of the region’s leading ADU builders, completing 100+ ADU builds across San Diego County since 2020. The company is known for bringing greater transparency, process discipline, and construction predictability to an emerging housing category that sits at the intersection of state policy, local permitting, homeowner decision-making, and real jobsite execution.
Her work focuses on the practical side of housing production: what it actually takes to move an ADU from feasibility to design, permitting, construction, and final inspection. SnapADU manages the full process in-house and publishes plans, pricing, cost guidance, and educational resources to help property owners understand buildability, site constraints, timelines, and construction risk before they commit.
A former Bain & Company consultant with a background in operations strategy, Whitney brings a data-driven and execution-focused perspective to residential construction. She co-chairs the Responsible ADU Committee of the Building Industry Association of San Diego County, where she works with builders, advocates, and public officials on practical implementation issues affecting ADU delivery. She was named to San Diego Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 and has been featured in Forbes, MarketWatch, Houzz, and multiple industry podcasts.
