Mr. Herrmann joined Resmark in 2012. He oversees the company’s finance, compliance, accounting, and treasury departments and plays an active role in its many investment programs and long-range strategic planning, including as a member of the investment committee. Additionally, Mr. Herrmann serves on the Board of Directors of BrightSky Residential, Resmark’s wholly owned residential real estate development company operating exclusively in the build-to-rent (BTR) sector.

Previously, he served as Vice President, Corporate Development at national homebuilder John Laing Homes and its successor company, where he was actively involved in identifying new housing development opportunities, along with involvement in the accounting and finance functions. He also served in several other finance and accounting-related executive positions at the company.

Mr. Herrmann began his career at Ernst & Young, LLP in the real estate group. He graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with a concentration in Accounting, and is a certified public accountant (inactive).
