Juyuan Wei is a key architect of Westwood Financial’s growth, applying disciplined, data-driven strategy to strengthen its 127-property, $1.6 billion grocery-anchored retail portfolio through multiple market cycles. Since joining in 2018, he rose from director of strategic planning and analysis to CFO in February 2023, now leading strategic planning, business development, risk management, accounting, capital markets, tax, and investor relations.
Since 2021, Wei has raised $470 million for the firm’s credit facility, shifted $240 million of variable-rate debt to fixed rates amid rising interest rates, and secured more than $600 million in total debt financing. In November 2024, he closed a $145 million unsecured credit facility upsize, increasing financial flexibility and supporting acquisitions and maturities.
A recognized voice in retail real estate finance, Wei contributes insights to Commerce + Communities Today, ULI, and Bisnow. He has earned multiple nominations for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2025 CFO Awards and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times’ 2024 CFO Visionaries honor.
