Sara Kowalczyk is Chief Accounting Officer at Pine Tree, a national retail real estate owner/operator headquartered in Chicago. With more than 15 years of industry experience, Sara leads Pine Tree’s accounting and IT functions and provides oversight for the company’s portfolio of $3.3 billion in institutional retail assets across the United States. Before joining Pine Tree, Sara was Senior Vice President of Accounting and Finance at a residential real estate development company, where she oversaw the company’s corporate and property accounting teams. Prior to that, she served as an audit senior manager at KPMG in Chicago and Los Angeles. Sara is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics with an accounting minor from the University of California Los Angeles.
