Lauren Zullo serves as Managing Director of Impact at Jonathan Rose Companies, where she leads the firm’s environmental and social impact strategies to advance its mission of creating communities that are both environmentally sustainable and socially equitable. She directs the integration of impact management and ESG principles across the firm’s investment, development, preservation, and asset management practices, ensuring that investments deliver measurable benefits for both people and planet.
Lauren oversees programs that drive decarbonization, resilience, and healthy building performance, as well as initiatives that strengthen resident well-being and community opportunity through a network of resident services providers and strategic partners and programs. Her work includes establishing portfolio-wide sustainability standards, advancing social impact partnerships, programs, and measurement tools, and leading the firm’s impact reporting and alignment with third-party frameworks.
Since joining Rose in 2017, Lauren has built out the company’s environmental impact platform, scaling green retrofit programs and embedding sustainability and impact metrics across the portfolio. Prior to joining Rose, she held roles at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), where she developed and scaled market-based building performance policies, and at Greenebaum & Rose Associates, a DC-based real estate firm, where she managed properties and sustainability initiatives for existing assets.
Lauren earned her A.B. in sociology and biology from Bowdoin College and serves on advisory boards for the Better Buildings Challenge, Energy Star, and Fannie Mae.
