Robert McGuinness is Director of Property Management & Corporate Responsibility at Kite Realty Group (NYSE: KRG), where he plays a dual leadership role across property operations and sustainability initiatives. Based in Southwest Florida, Robert oversees a 3-million-square-foot portfolio of open-air and enclosed shopping centers stretching from Florida to Massachusetts.

Since joining KRG in 2014 to lead its Northeast Region, Robert has been instrumental in shaping the company’s corporate responsibility strategy. In 2019, he became the founding member of KRG’s Corporate Responsibility Task Force—now a company-wide initiative encompassing all aspects of Sustainability. He leads key programs focused on energy efficiency, including the firm’s LED retrofit and EV charging rollouts, as well as Smart Irrigation, Xeriscape adoption, and IREM Certified Sustainable Property designations.

Robert also plays a central role in KRG’s external sustainability reporting, guiding the company’s participation in voluntary frameworks and helping to ensure transparency and progress toward its sustainability goals. Prior to KRG, Robert began his career in the REIT sector at Urstadt Biddle Properties (now Regency Centers) in 2011 as an Asset Manager.
