Senior Executive Vice PresidentChief Legal Officer Jonathan Feigelson serves as Senior Executive Vice-President and Chief Legal Officer of Freedom Mortgage, one of the largest and fastest-growing independent mortgage companies in the country. He oversees the company's legal, compliance, regulatory, governance, and risk-management functions, leading a team of more than 175 professionals and helping support Freedom Mortgage's continued growth and commitment to responsible lending.Feigelson joined Freedom Mortgage in 2024, bringing more than two decades of legal, regulatory, and executive leadership experience across the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Freedom Mortgage, he served as Chief Regulatory Counsel and Senior Advisor to the Director of the Office of the National Cyber Director within the Executive Office of the President of the United States, where he advised on cybersecurity, technology, and regulatory policy matters. Before that, he served as General Counsel of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), the federal government's official export credit agency.Earlier in his career, Feigelson held General Counsel roles at several leading financial services organizations, including GMO, a global asset management firm, iCapital, and TIAA.He also worked for Goldman Sachs & Co. in various offices around the world, gaining extensive experience in global financial markets and regulatory matters.Before entering the private sector, Feigelson served as a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office, where he focused on financial crimes and complex investigations.In addition to his professional responsibilities, Feigelson serves on the Board of Directors of the Harlem Junior Tennis & Education Program, a non-profit that develops children by leveraging tennis as an entry point to academic achievement, physical and mental wellness, and long-term success.Feigelson earned his B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard University, where he was nominated for both the Rhodes and Marshall Scholarships. He received a master's degree with highest honors in International Relations from the London School of Economics and earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a member of the Columbia Law Review.
