Mr. Caster is a seasoned real estate developer and operations executive with more than 26 years of experience leading complex multifamily real estate ventures nationwide. His expertise spans the full lifecycle of real estate development, including land sourcing, entitlements, design, capitalization, underwriting, strategic planning and execution, development, and asset repositioning (value-add). His portfolio includes work across conventional, senior, subsidized, and student housing, as well as large-scale renovation projects across the United States.
Throughout his career, Mr. Caster has worked closely with a range of institutional, life, and private investment partners such as Invesco, Northwestern Mutual Life, MetLife, the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio, Lendlease, General Electric Investments, Ocwen, L&B Realty, IRET, Ellavoz, and Phoenix Development.
Before joining Auben Capital Partners, Mr. Caster served as COO and President of The Klotz Group of Companies, where he directed operations for a diversified real estate portfolio exceeding $1 billion in value. Previously, as President of Sagebrush Companies, he oversaw operations, asset management, acquisitions, and development for a portfolio valued at more than $500 million. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of Alaska for Weidner Investment Services, managing property operations for approximately 33 assets totaling $300 million. Mr. Caster also held the role of National Director of Renovations at RREEF/Deutsche Bank Real Estate in Chicago, where he led renovation programs nationwide for assets valued over $300 million.
