Prior to joining Casago, Joe Riley founded Patriot Family Homes (PFH), a Veteran-owned and operated property management company specializing in short-term rentals near military bases. Joe is a tireless property manager and a proven military and business leader.

A Rhodes Scholar, Joe completed a Masters and Doctorate in International Relations at Oxford University in record time. In the Army, Joe deployed to Afghanistan with the second Ranger Battalion and to Ukraine with the 101st Airborne Division. Joe also served as the Director for Indo-Pacific Security on the National Security Council at the White House.

In 2017, Joe and his wife began renting their home near Fort Benning, GA while he was serving in Afghanistan. Through this experience, the couple discovered a need for fully furnished short-term rentals near military bases. This was the beginning of Patriot Family Homes, which quickly expanded to become a multi-market short-term rental company.

After leaving the Army in late 2021, Joe rapidly grew Patriot Family Homes to over 600 homes spanning the Southeastern U.S. The company joined Casago Vacation Rentals in 2024 to further accelerate growth and enhance owner and guest experiences.
