Jon Trott is co-chief investment officer at Capital Square.

He previously led the build-for-rent division at Amherst, one of the largest investors and operators of single-family rentals with a national portfolio of over 40,000 homes. There, Trott was responsible for capital raising, sourcing new acquisition opportunities and overall management of the group. Trott had previously worked as an investment professional at Spear Street Capital, a San Francisco-based real estate private equity firm with a primary focus on office transactions throughout the U.S., Canada and U.K. He began his career at J.P. Morgan, reporting to the CEO of asset management and being involved in executing key M&A transactions and strategic initiatives.

Trott received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his B.A. from Tufts.
