Joseph Brasfield leads Laseter Development Group’s capital markets, strategy, third-party general contracting, and asset management functions. In his role, Joseph is primarily responsible for managing the firm’s joint venture equity and debt relationships, overseeing deal-level underwriting and strategy, and the executive management of the Company’s third-party general contracting sourcing efforts. In addition to his day-to-day responsibilities, Joseph is a member of both the Laseter Investment Committee and Board of Directors, contributing to major strategic decisions across the platform.
Joseph began his career at Deloitte Tax LLP, where he advised large public and private clients on corporate and M&A tax strategies. After earning his MBA, he transitioned to investment banking, spending over a decade at Goldman Sachs, Moelis & Company, and Truist Securities. In these roles, he specialized in advising public and private real estate clients on capital raising and strategic transactions. Prior to the formation of Laseter Development Group, Joseph served as Chief Financial Officer of its predecessor companies, Georgia Capital and Paran Homes.
Joseph Brasfield holds a BBA and Master of Accountancy from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
