Rob Whiting is the cofounder/CEO of Boom, the leasing operating system for residential property managers. Boom combines AI-driven showings, workflows, and communications (BoomCRM) with intelligent applications and underwriting (BoomScreen) into one leasing hub, helping operators lease faster with better resident outcomes.

Boom powers leasing for over half a million units and some of the most notable vertically-integrated and third-party SFR operators such as AMH, Marketplace Homes, RENU, Renters Warehouse, On Q Property Management, and Mark Brower Properties. Boom is also embedded in third-party SFR-focused, PMSs like Baselane, and is the screening vendor of choice for the nationwide Keyrenter franchise network.

Boom is based in Austin, TX and backed by over $20m from investors including S3 Ventures, Starting Line, Clocktower Ventures, and Mischief VC (CEO of Plaid’s fund). Prior to Boom, Rob started a sustainability venture in Hyderabad, India, and was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group. He's a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
