Nelson J. Zambrano is a Partner in Hotel Luz, a boutique hotel in San Juan Puerto Rico.

He moved to Puerto Rico to take advantage of the generous Tax and Investment Incentives, specifically towards Vacation Rentals (hotels) offered by Puerto Rico’s unique status as a US territory. As he calls it “Puerto Rico is The Monaco of the United States”.

He looks at areas that are undervalued with massive growth potential that are quietly outperforming the rest of the Country and pay investors above average returns with minimal risk.

He is a former US Army Officer (Lieutenant Colonel) Recalled to Active Duty after the 9/11 attacks. Deploying with Special Forces and Military Intelligence units.

He also completed a project, with the City of Fort Lauderdale, where the City of Fort Lauderdale provided CRA (Community Redevelopment Act) funds/resources into one of the multifamily properties.

In 2018 he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro with the Mandela Foundation to commemorate Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday and bring attention to underprivileged girls not having access to adequate feminine hygiene. He was also the 2^nd American to summit Mt. Kilimanjaro with the Mandela Foundation. He plans on completing his own 7 Summits before 2030 and endurance events. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
